Sketches and Pints a sweaty/saintly success!
We had a great group of sketchers (including some of our Houston Sketchy all stars) our for the very first Sketches and Pints this weekend at the ever-amazing Saint Arnold’s Brewery. It was hot (hello Texas summer heat!), fun and full of beer foam-y awesomeness.
The artists rocked out some great pieces (and made some sales too – WOOT!!!):
All sorts of sketching awesomeness went down:
And of course there was beer. Delicious, ice cold, wonderful Saint Arnold’s beer. YUM. Thanks to Lennie and the Saint Arnold’s crew, we seriously love you guys.
Bummed that you missed this month’s Sketches and Pints? Never fear!! We’ll be back in action Saturday, September 19th at Coffee Groundz! More details to come – sign up for our Sketches and Pints newsletter here, if you want to stay in the know!
These great photos are courtesy of the fearless photog and friend Ed Schipul – thanks for braving the heat! (and we totally forgive you for spilling that beer, btw).
Where are all the hot, scantily clad models I can usually count on?
DAN – didn’t you see Lennie in the photo above? Don’t talk trash on my hot models… 🙂 Actually, Sketches and Pints isn’t a Dr. Sketchy — no models, just artists boozing.
Although depending on how much booze they have, perhaps in future events we’ll have some scantily clad models?? 🙂
It was hot, but then so were we!!! Had a great time at Saint Arnolds Brewery. The crowd was massive and the staff was incredible. I sold three easy pieces…of art. Thanks to Katie and the minions for putting this together. It’s a terrific way to get your name out there and of course, there was beer! Nuff said.
